All medications administered to your child must be in their original packaging/containers and clearly labelled with your child’s name and the dosage required.
Parents are requested to inform the Health Centre of any medications being taken by students.
All medications (prescription and non-prescription) must be stored at and dispensed from the Health Centre.
Students who are on medication are required to leave ALL medications in the Health Centre for safety reasons and supervision.
If there is a requirement for students to always have their medication with them, a written request is to be made by email to the Deputy Principal (Residential) and Principal. Approval will need to be given by the Principal for this to occur.
Asthma inhalers may be carried by students.
A record of all medications dispensed will be kept in Health Centre.
The school Medical Services Team will arrange filling of prescriptions for students as required at a local chemist. Chemists do not send home accounts; students are required to pay for all purchases.
Medication and scripts MUST be less than 12 months old.
