Dear families,

Our Primary school uses the ClassDojo platform to enable two-way communication between home and school and to provide insights into student learning. Teachers will use ClassDojo to message you and post announcements about their classes. It’s the easiest way for you to see what your child’s working on and to get in touch directly with your child's teacher.

The NSW Department of Education now requires schools to notify parents about what data external websites collect, how it is stored and used; and to gain your consent to add your child's information to the platform. ClassDojo collects student names, as well as any images of the students or their work uploaded by teachers. These images are accessible to other community members who are signed up and connected to our school.

1. Is my child’s information stored in Australia or overseas?

ClassDojo is a US-based company, and all information is stored securely in the US. This information is encrypted at all times to ensure safety and security.

2. Does ClassDojo share my child’s personal information with other companies?

ClassDojo will never share your or your child’s personal information with a third party for any reason except in the limited circumstances described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Can companies that provide supporting services to ClassDojo access student or parent information, like email addresses?

ClassDojo works with a few trusted service providers who may access limited information to help ClassDojo with speciﬁc tasks. These service providers are bound by strict conﬁdentiality agreements and are committed to keeping all personal information secure.
