A feature of the public education system in NSW is the opportunity to provide time in class for education faith and morality from a religious perspective at the choice of parents/carers.

At Wallsend Campus, Special Religious Education (SRE) is provided by the Baptist Church of NSW. The SRE coordinator at CCWC is Mr Lysander Lawrence. Information about the curriculum followed by the SRE group is available at:
https://nswactbaptists.org.au/resources/authorised-sre-curriculum/

If you wish to withdraw your child from SRE classes, please complete the form below. Students who do not attend Special Religious Education are provided with supervised, alternative meaningful activities.

In accordance with Section 33 of the Education Act, no child is required to participate in general religious education or Special Religious Education if a parent or carer objects. You may request your child’s withdrawal from SRE at any time.

Yours sincerely
