Dear Parents and Carers,

Our school acknowledges the educational value of digital devices and online services in supporting and enhancing educational outcomes and student wellbeing.

The Student Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement incorporates the use of all digital devices (e.g. Desktop computers, laptops, tablets, printers, electronic equipment and internet usage etc). The school provides access and the use of these technologies with the expectation that students will make good decisions with regard to using it.

In certain circumstances, students may be permitted to bring their own device to school to use as part of their learning needs. On these Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) days, the school will outline the need and the timeframe in which personal devices will be allowed to be used at school. The use of personal device all falls under the Student Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement. All personal devices used during BYOD remain the property of the family and the responsibility, care and appropriate use of the device remains with the student and their family.

This Student Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement must be agreed to, signed and returned to the school before students are permitted to use any school device or participate in BYOD days.

Students and parents/caregivers must carefully read this Agreement prior to signing it. Any questions should be addressed to the school and clarification obtained before the Agreement is signed. The Student Use of Digital Devices and Online Services Procedure is also available should you require further information.

This Agreement applies to the duration of your child’s enrolment at Willmot Public School.
