General Use:

I will:

take care of the school's ICT resources including computers, iPads, printers, and headphones
move safely around the area of the computers.
turn on and shut down the computers correctly.
log off the computer when I have finished my work ready for the next user.
keep my login/s and password to myself, and not seek the passwords of others.
never allow others to use my personal e-learning account.
check with the supervising teacher before using a personal disc or storage device (e.g USB Stick) on a school computer as viruses can spread between computers.
report any problems to the supervising teacher and not attempt to fix them myself.
not download music, video or images from the internet without permission from the owner or my teacher.

Internet/Email Use

I will:

only access the Internet for purposes specified by the supervising teacher.
not give out personal information such as my surname, address, telephone number, parents' work address and telephone number
not use material from any website, including photographs, unless I have the permission of the author or supervising teacher.
follow the school's guidelines and procedures when preparing materials for publication on the web.
be aware at all times that the school may check my computer files and may monitor the Internet sites I visit.
report any inappropriate emails or websites I come across immediately to the supervising teacher.

Online Behaviour

Cyber bullying is a form of bullying which is carried out through an internet service such as email, chat room, discussion group, online social networking, instant messaging or web pages. It can also include bullying using mobile devices such as tablets, iPods and phones through SMS, Facebook, Kik etc. It may involve text or images (photos or drawings)

Cyber Bullying is unacceptable at Tyalla Public School

I will:

not use digital technologies to bully tease, frighten, defame, spread rumors or annoy other people.
never send my photograph or photographs of others to anyone without the permission of the supervising teacher and parents
always have the supervising teachers' permission before communicating online.
use acceptable and appropriate language when communication online.
not respond to any messages that are unpleasant or make me feel uncomfortable. It's not my fault if I receive these kind of messages.
