 carnival will be held at the YMCA\, Hawkesbury Oasis\, for students 8 year
 s and over. It will be held Friday 20 February\, Term 1.<br><br>Swimming e
 vents/races- Any student turning 8 and above in 2026 and is a competent sw
 immer can participate in races (i.e. students who can swim 50 metres capab
 ly). These events will be 50 metre races in freestyle\, butterfly\, backst
 roke\, breaststroke\, 100 metre freestyle\, 200m individual medley event.<
 br>Age race is the age your child is turning in 2025\, junior refers to 8-
 10 year olds\, senior refers to 12 years and over\, open is 8 year olds an
 d above. Please note when selecting events what age categories are availab
 le. &nbsp\;</p><p>This carnival is for Years 3-6\, with the exception of a
 ny student who is turning 8\, from Year 2\, <span style=\"color: rgb(184\,
  49\, 47)\;\">who is a competent swimmer</span> wishing to compete for a p
 osition at the PSSA Hawkesbury Zone Swimming Carnival. The student<span st
 yle=\"color: rgb(184\, 49\, 47)\;\">&nbsp\;MUST be able to confidently</sp
 an> <span style=\"color: rgb(184\, 49\, 47)\;\">swim 50 metres without sto
 pping</span>. There will be a 50m freestyle age race for students turning 
 8 years old in 2026. If your child is able to swim the other events: 50m b
 utterfly\, backstroke\, breaststroke\, 200IM\, they would be competing as 
 a Junior in the 8-10 years age group.</p><p>Please note if your child is t
 urning 8 in 2026 they are able to be considered to be selected for the swi

 2 competition. Students that are turning 11 or 12 this year may participat

DESCRIPTION:<p>Dear Parents and Carers\,</p><p>To further strengthen co
 mmunity relationships\, Year 5 students will participate in a program 
 where they will collaborate directly with our Pitt Town preschools:
  Milestones Early Learning Centre and Papilio Early Learning.</p><p>Stud
 ents will either walk next door to Papilio\, or be transported by car 
 to Milestones\, both accompanied by Pitt Town Public School teachers. Th
 roughout the year\, students will have two opportunities to attend a presc
 hool.&nbsp\;</p><p>To help prepare for their preschool sessions\, students
  will choose a storybook and an accompanying activity to complete with
  their small preschool group. All organisation will be completed at 
 school\, with teacher support if required.</p><p>Year 5 classes will atten
 d either Milestones ELC or Papilio EL on the following dates. Studen
 ts will leave school after the morning bell and return to their classroom
