 carnival will be held at the YMCA\, Hawkesbury Oasis\, for students 8 year
 s and over. It will be held Friday 20 February\, Term 1.<br><br>Swimming e
 vents/races- Any student turning 8 and above in 2026 and is a competent sw
 immer can participate in races (i.e. students who can swim 50 metres capab
 ly). These events will be 50 metre races in freestyle\, butterfly\, backst
 roke\, breaststroke\, 100 metre freestyle\, 200m individual medley event.<
 br>Age race is the age your child is turning in 2025\, junior refers to 8-
 10 year olds\, senior refers to 12 years and over\, open is 8 year olds an
 d above. Please note when selecting events what age categories are availab
 le. &nbsp\;</p><p>This carnival is for Years 3-6\, with the exception of a
 ny student who is turning 8\, from Year 2\, <span style=\"color: rgb(184\,
  49\, 47)\;\">who is a competent swimmer</span> wishing to compete for a p
 osition at the PSSA Hawkesbury Zone Swimming Carnival. The student<span st
 yle=\"color: rgb(184\, 49\, 47)\;\">&nbsp\;MUST be able to confidently</sp
 an> <span style=\"color: rgb(184\, 49\, 47)\;\">swim 50 metres without sto
 pping</span>. There will be a 50m freestyle age race for students turning 
 8 years old in 2026. If your child is able to swim the other events: 50m b
 utterfly\, backstroke\, breaststroke\, 200IM\, they would be competing as 
 a Junior in the 8-10 years age group.</p><p>Please note if your child is t
 urning 8 in 2026 they are able to be considered to be selected for the swi
