In this role\, your child will collaborate with other studen t leaders to develop and deliver sessions that teach younger students abou t Standing Up. They will also co-facilitate workshops for teachers\, paren ts\, and carers\, alongside our SUP facilitator.

On Monday\, November 10\, Kindergarten will be going on a co mmunity walk along the Wentworth Point Promenade as part of our Geography unit\, Places We Live In. Students will explore the local area\, identifying natural and human-made features and observing how people use a nd care for different spaces. This experience will help students develop t heir understanding of the local environment and build curiosity\, care\, a nd respect for the places in our community. \;
The walk will tak e approximately 90 minutes\, with lots of opportunities to sit and rest al ong the way\, with students leaving the school at 11:00am and returning by 12:45pm.
The students in Stage 1 - 3 Choir\, Stage 1 Dance and Senior Dance have been invited to pe rform at the Wentworth Point Community Concert on Saturday 29th \;November. Parent s and carers who would like to view the performance are asked to pay a $2. 00 donation on arrival at Marina Square. Details are outlined below. \; \;

Our P&\;C will be host ing a Summer Fair on Friday 5 December from 3:00pm–5:30pm. This is a wonderful community even t for families to enjoy together.
Our Student Representative C ouncil (SRC) and Stage 3 School Leadership Team have been invited to volunteer at the fair by helping run a few different stalls. As your c hild is part of the schools student leadership teams\, they are encouraged to participate as a volunteer.
Please note that this is a fam ily event\, and all children attending the fair must be supervise d by a parent or family member. If your child is volunteering\, they may a ttend without a parent in order to run their stall\; however\, parent supervision is recommended as stud ents will not be able to participate or see other stalls without a parent present. \;
We warm ly encourage families to come along\, support our students\, and enjoy the Summer Fair together. Should you not be able to attend\, but give your ch ild permission to volunteer and walk home after the event they will still be able to volunteer.
Our students will be celebrating the year with a fun-filled Water Play Day! This exciting end-of-year activity gives students the chan ce to cool off\, enjoy outdoor games\, and celebrate their hard work acros s 2025. Families are asked to pack a change of sun safe clothes\, a towel\ , a bag for wet clothes and are asked to apply sunscreen to students befor e morning drop off. We can&rsquo\;t wait to wrap up the year with plenty o f laughter\, teamwork\, and splashes!
As part of our En glish units\, Year 1 students will have the opportunity to view a film tha t support their current learning. Classes will watch the film T he Lorax (2012)\, rated PG. This film explores themes of human impact and caring for the Earth. It supports our learning focus on persuasive me ssages and environmental responsibility. \;
Students will discus s how characters persuade others to care for trees and the choices that he lp or harm the environment. This viewing complements Perspective and Argum ent\, where students have been engaging with a range of texts to identify arguments and examine how structure and images can be used to reinforce a point of view. The \;3&ndash\;6 Cros s Country Carnival will take place at Peninsula Park on Wednesday 11 March 2026 (Term 1\, Week 7). Year 2 students who turn 8 years old in 2026 are also invited to participate in the carnival. \;
Students will access Peninsula Park through the school &rsquo\;s adjoining gate.
As the carnival is being held on school grounds and the park is currently closed to the public\, there will be no opportunity for parents or carers to spe ctate on the day. Students will compete in their designated age race and t hen return to class to resume their normal learning program.
Permission notes must be submitted by Friday 6 March at 3:00pm. Students with approved permission are expected to parti cipate in the Cross Country race.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances\, cancellation will be communi cated via School Bytes and the school Facebook page as soon as a decision has been made. If required\, the backup date for the carnival will be Wedn esday 18 March 2026 (Term 1\, Week 8).
