The students of Marrickville West Primary School would like to invite you to our 2025 Multicultural Munch. This has been a traditional event for over 30 years.

Students have been invited to attend a trombone recital at t he Sydney Conservatorium. Students will have the opportunity to see their teacher performing the bass trombone and spend some time in the Botanical Gardens for lunch.

As part of our Performing Arts focus this year\, all studen ts in the Senior String Ensemble\, Yr 3 &\; Yr 4 Junior Choir and Rock Band have been invited to perform at the Chris O&rsquo\;Brien Life house\, \;119-143 Missenden Rd\ , Camperdown NSW 2050 \;

This excursion involves a visi t to Sydney University where our students can walk around and see the many landmarks that make up the university campus. This will include a visit t o the Chau Chak Museum\, the Great Hall\, Fisher Library and a picnic lunc h in the Quadrangle.

Then this we will walk over to the Chri s O&rsquo\;Brien Lifehouse\, where we will participate in a workshop that promotes music and wellbeing. \;We will also perform \;in the ground floor entrance/performance area for patients\, their visitors and staff m embers of the hospital. \;

Year 1 students \;w ill embark on an exciting excursion to the Australian Museum\, where they will participate in a self-guided tour and a Turtle Dreaming Weaving Works hop.

The self-guided tour will allow students to further explore exhibits\, reinforcing their learning about animals and th eir environments in engaging\, interactive ways and the Turtle Dreaming We aving Workshop is an educator-led program that focuses on the natural feat ures of land\, water and sky through a Sydney-based turtle Dreaming Story.

Year 2 students will \;embark on an exciting excursion t o the Australian Museum\, where they will participate in a self-guided tou r and a Turtle Dreaming Weaving Workshop.

Balmoral South Beach is located in Mosman. There is a beach on one side and there will be a designated area f or swimming. Teachers &\; lifeguards will supervise all water activitie s on the day.

You are welcome to sit\, swim and eat with your chil dren. However\, we request that you support staff to maintain supervision and safety standards by ensuring children stay with their class gr oup and follow their teacher’s instructions&nb sp\;during the course of the day. \;

If you intend to remain at the park after the school leaves or wish to take your child home early\, please ensure you speak to your chil d’s teacher directly on the day and sign them out on the class roll
