Students will travel by bus to the Yarrila Arts Museum depart ing at 9:15am. They will then travel by bus to Jetty Beach where they will have a picnic and learn about the cultural significance of Muttonbird Isl and and the Jetty Beach.

They will return to school by approximately 2:30pm. Supervision is provided by William Bayldon Teachers and School Le arning Support Officers.

The DoE (Department of Educa tion) School Swim Scheme Program provides funding for schools to access in tensive swimming programs\, which develop water confidence and provide stu dents with water safety skills.

To achieve these outcomes\, William Bayldon Public School students will be attending sessions in Term 4 at Saw tell Swim Centre. This program is suitable for children who have not yet r eached a satisfactory standard of water safety and survival skills or are unable to swim 50m confidently.

This program will run for 2 consecut ive weeks\, commencing Monday 24th November (Week 7) until Friday 5th Dece mber (Week 8). Transport will be by bus. Students will depart from school at 10:10am. Each session runs for about 45 minutes. Depending on the numbe r of participants per session there may be a change where we combine sessi ons. Students will return to school at 11:30am.

This year\, the prog ram is open to all students in years 2-6 who cannot swim 50m. \;

Students will be assessed during the program for all water safety skills without wearing goggles. Goggles will be optional during the sessions.

This is an extremely exciting opportunity th at will require regular practice in order for the children to perform conf idently.

We have ordered enough Yamaha Descant Recorders for each st udent to purchase for home practice at $12 each. \;
