National Walk Safely to School Day is an annual event in Aus tralia that encourages children and their families to walk to school. It p romotes safety\, health\, and environmental awareness. The day aims to hig hlight the benefits of walking to school\, such as improving physical heal th\, reducing traffic congestion\, and building community spirit.
Th is event focuses on safe walking practices\, teaching children about road safety\, and the importance of being aware of their surroundings - especia lly when crossing highways\, train tracks\, and school crossing areas. Wal king to school helps children stay active and healthy\, promotes physical fitness\, and can improve their concentration and mood.
We invite ou r students and families to come along and join in.

The Dubbo District PSSA Cross Country will be held on Wednes day 28 May 2025. The Carnival will be held at the Geurie Racecourse.

Please be advised that on Monday 23 June 2025 Eumungerie Public School will be hosting Yr 6 Health Talks for our Small Schools Network (Geurie\, Wongarbon\, Ballimor e\, Tooraweenah).
These sessions will be delivered by nurses from NSW Local Health District and will be conducted in gender groups.
The following will be covered in these sessions:-
Year 6 students should understand that puberty is a normal\, natu ral process of physical and emotional change that happens to most people\, typically starting around ages 9-15. They should learn about both the phy sical changes (like breast development in girls\, voice changes and muscle growth in boys\, growth spurts\, pubic and underarm hair\, acne\, and bod y odour) and the emotional changes (mood swings and feelings) that occur d uring puberty. \;

We are excited to welcome au thor\, Susea Spray to our school on Tuesday\, 28 October. Susea will be en gaging students from Kindergarten to Year 6 in two interactive sessions th at introduce them to the adventurous journey behind her &lsquo\;A Big Blue Boat&rsquo\; books.
During the sessions\, students will embark on a sailing adventure where they will learn about rare and extinc t animals\, ocean life\, and the lifestyle of people living on remote isla nds. The experience includes nursery rhymes and songs adapted to the &lsqu o\;A Big Blue Boat&rsquo\; theme.
