Stage 3 Camp to Canberra. \;Students will leave on Wednesday 29th Oc

The total cost per child for this excursion i
s $356\, this already includes the PACER rate of $135 per student. \;
This cost includes all coach travel\, accommodation at the Capital Country
Holiday Park\, food and entries into all destinations.

The workshop will occur at Barringt
on PS on Monday 15th September 2025. Rowena from Amazing Me will be facili
tating this program. Transport will be via ROAM bus which will collect stu
dent at 8.30am for the 9am start time. \;The bus will then collect th
em from Barrington at 2.30pm to be back by 3pm. School will cover the cost
of the bus for this excursion.

e Intensive School Swimming Scheme. Teachers and support staff will accomp
any the students daily. All instructors are AustSwim Certified. \;We

k between them. \;This year the program has been heavily subs
idised by the DOE and Stratford Public School. \;There is now no need

This is a whole school program and all children \;will be participating. Students will be
graded at their swimming capability level and put into the appropriate gro

day of fun in Forster/Tuncurry. \;We will travel by Newcome bus to Lo
ne Pine Park\, Point Road\, Tuncurry where students will enjoy play time i
n the free Splash Park and Playground in Vincent Fazio Park\, followed by
play time in Lone Pine Park\, then a walk across the bridge to the Lions P
utt Putt Golf park for a round of Putt Putt Golf and jumping on the Trampo
lines. \;Mrs Johnson will supply hot chips for lunch which will be en
joyed under the shade in the nearby John Holland Park. Students sh
ould still bring recess and lunch\, and a water bottle. After lun
ch students will make their return walk over the bridge to Lone Pine Park
to meet the bus for the trip back to school.

e at Stratford Public School by 8.15am in time for the 8.30am bus departur
e. \;We expect to arrive in Tuncurry at 10am\, allowing students 4 ho
urs of fun before being collected from Lone Pine Park at 2pm for the retur

When using Trampolines students are NOT ALLOWED to perform so
mersaults. \;Strictly jumping only\, no tricks. \;Students will
be reminded to stay in the centre of the trampoline when jumping. \;O
ne student at a time will be allowed onto the trampoline so as to avoid ac
cidents. \;Any student not obeying these rules will be swiftly remove
d and will not get a second chance to jump.
Accident insurance information \;
In the event of injury\, no accident or medical
insurance cover is provided by the NSW Government Treasury Managed Fund f
or students participating in school sporting activities\, physical educati
on lessons or any other school endorsed activity\, unless there is a breac
h of duty of care by department or school staff. The NSW Department of Edu
cation is insured to meet the financial impact of any legal liabilities ar

Any student that experiences a suspected concussio
n during a school endorsed activity\, will be removed from the activity an

ruary 2026 at the Gloucester Pool.
Students who are turni
ng 8 years and older in 2026 and who can swim 25 metres or more. \; \;All other students will remain at school with a te

bsp\; spectators \;$1.00 \;(pool fee payable at the pool on the
day)
The canteen at the pool will be available for snacks a
nd refreshments. The Stratford Public School P and C will be d
oing a BBQ for lunch. \;A pre order lunch menu will be sent out soon.
It is essential that all students bring a water bottle.
We are requesting that students be driven by private vehicle to the poo
l on the Friday. You are invited to spend the day with us and any assistan
ce with jobs would be appreciated.
All students will need to
be picked up at the completion of the carnival. Departmental pol
icy states that students may not be dismissed and left at the pool unsuper
vised. If someone other than you is picking up or supervising your childre
n after the carnival\, you will need to provide permission in writ
ing to enable this to happen.
Note: Students who compet
e in a particular swim leg eg. 50m backstroke\, cannot then swim in the sa
me backstroke swim leg in the 25m half pool event and vice versa. A studen
t can however participate in a 50m freestyle and a 25m butterfly event\, f
or example\, if they are not as confident with the second event so long as
they don&rsquo\;t also compete in a 50m butterfly event as well.)

1. The carnival will be conducted under the rules of Swimmin
g NSW.
2. The ONE START RULE will apply. Starting from Blocks is man
datory as this carnival is a qualifying event for the Hunter Regional Carn
ival.
3. Entrants in the form strokes must be technically correct to
avoid disqualification.
4. No finals to be held in events.
5.
a) Times to be supplied by schools.
b) Swimmers to be seeded.
6. Medley and 100m events are qualifying times only. All qualifying times
are noted on the entry form.
7. The Carnival may not finish until a
t least 3.30pm. Consideration should be given to
private transport.<

8. Manning Aquatic Leisure Centre advises all teachers\, parents and
students that NO students will be permitted to swim in the inside pool du
ring the duration of the Zone Swimming Carnival.

No swimmers or relay teams are guaranteed automatic qu
alification to the Hunter swimming trial. Results will be sent to Hunter S
SA and successful qualifiers will be notified AFTER the Zone carnival.

Our leaders will meet Mrs Bridson at the bus stop
in Denison Street\, Gloucester at 7.00am. She will put them on the bus to
Forster in the care of Barrington Public School staff\, which will depart
promptly at 7.15am. \;Mrs Johnson will meet everyone at Club Forster
and supervise them during the event. \;Students will return to Glouce
ster under the care of Barrington staff. \;The bus will return to Den
ison Street busstop for drop-off at approximately 3.45pm. Mrs Johnson can
update parents via Facebook of travel time. This will require parents to a
rrive promptly morning and afternoon so the bus is not waiting around. &nb
sp\;Parents are required to organise transport to and from Gloucester on t
hat day.
The conference commences \;at 8.45am and will finish p
romptly at 2.15pm. \;Students must wear full school uniform\, bring a
pen and a full lunch box and drink bottle. \;No food will be availab
le at the venue. \;Special leadership badges will be available for pu
rchase for $3.00 each or 2 for $5.00.
