Learning to swim and water safety are integral skills for ch ildren such as ours who have access to family pools and who live near larg e waterways. With this in mind\, our school will be taking part in a Swimm ing Scheme for all children in Years 2 to 6 in Week 2 of Term 4 at Richmon d Pool. We will travel daily by bus with Mrs Keys and additional supervisi ng teachers.
The cost for a one week scheme would normall y be around $71.00 per child. To reduce this cost\, our school was able to secure a small grant\, assisting all families to reduce the cost of the b us. This will be a one-week accelerated swimming scheme\, where the childr en attend two sessions per day\, still covering the same skills as the two -week program. Our sessions will be held from 11.00am to 12:.30pm each day . There will still be an entry fee to the pool\, which will bring the tota l cost of the swimming scheme to $32.00 that families will need to pay.
The bus will leave at 10.30am\, with an expected return to school around 1.20pm.
We would like to see most children
in Years 2\, 3 \, 4\, 5 and 6 take up the opportunity as there will be min
imal supervision at school during this time. We anticipate that most child
ren will be involved in the intensive learn to swim program\, developing w
ater confidence and providing our children with basic skills in water safe
ty and survival. Due to the bus size\, places are limited to 46 students.<

Hawkesbury Zone P SSA are holding a Stage 2 Basketball Gala Day to be held on Friday 1st Nov ember\, at the PCYC Hawkesbury\, Stewart Street\, South Windsor\, from 9am to 2.30pm. Students will need to arrive at 8:30am. The purpose of this ga la day is to involve our students in a broader range of sports and to prov ide them with an enjoyable opportunity to represent their school.
Players need to wear school sports uniform and joggers and ensure they bring a water bottle\, recess and lunch with them.
Parents/carers will be responsible for transporting their children to and from the event.
Spectators are permitted.

The Windsor &\; District RSL Sub Branch has extended an i nvitation to two of our school leaders and myself to attend their Remembra nce Day Commemoration. This will be held at Windsor McQuade Park Cenotaph (Adjacent to the Lake) on Monday 11th November 2024 commencing at 10:55am. I will drive them there and back\, we will leave school at 10. 15am and return before lunch time.
During the Service Archer and Jac kson will be invited to lay a wreath on behalf of Ebenezer Public School. The wreath will be provided by the Windsor RSL sub-Branch.

It’s that time of year! Your child has come to the end of their primary school years and to celebrate this they are off to Raging Wa ters for a day of adventure. This celebration is our Year 6 farewell fun d ay.
This activity will be a completely free activity for students as they have fundraised enough money to cover costs throughout the year.
This activity is a day around water. Please indicate your child’s swi mming competence on the permission slip. A coloured wristband will be worn by each child to indicate their swimming ability and to ensure their safe ty in the water.
Your child has been selected to attend the Hawkesbury Leader ship Camp which will be held at Brewongle Environmental Education Centre.< /p>
The aim of the camp is to develop leadership skills and teamwork in our elected young leaders. Children participating in the camp will be invo lved in the following leadership development activities:

DoE staff attending the camp have volunteered to participate in t hese activities\, as they see it as important that we develop the leadersh ip skills in our students.
Our Meet the Teacher afternoon will be held on Wedne sday 19th \;February\, 2025. This will give you an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and learn about what is happen ing in their classroom. To celebrate the start of a new school year and to welcome both new and existing families\, we will also be holding a family welcome BBQ at this time.
We are trying a different approach this y ear\, with families able to drop in and visit the classrooms for a short p eriod and then all teachers will have an ‘information booth/table’ set up under the main shelter to chat with you about the year ahead. During t his time we will also be hosting a free BBQ for all attendees and a coffee cart for the grown ups as an informal get together to mark the start of a new school year.

Our excursion to Canberra has now been confirmed at $590.00 with each child receiving the government rebate from PACER\, reducing the original cost by $45.00. In addition to this our P&\;C have generously agreed to donate $1000 as a one off donation to further reduce the overall cost\, particularly as we have such a small cohort this year.

The Life Education Van will be visiting our school\, during Week 9 of Term 2. The Life Education program is closely linked to the Pers onal Development and Health units in our PDHPE syllabus and is therefore a useful and worthwhile experience for the students.
The cost of the program is $12 per child \; \;
It will run over 2 consecuti ve days – Monday 23nd June and Tuesday 24th June with each class partici pating in one educational session. A workbook is included in the cost.
Years 3-6 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are invited to attend Allowah Day along with Aboriginal students throughout t he Hawkesbury (Primary School Event). It will be at Shaws Creek Aboriginal Place\, Yellomundee Regional Park\, and includes various cultural activit ies. Morning tea and lunch will be provided\, and there will be no cost to families.
Our Stage 2 Brewongle Camp has been booked for Monday 15th S eptember to Tuesday 16th September\, 2025 for all Year 3 and Year 4 studen ts. This camp offers many enjoyable learning opportunities for your child.
Students will experience a unique blend of curriculum\, environment al\, historical and cultural programs that utilise the diverse attractions \, quality facilities and natural habitats of the surrounding Hawkesbury r egion.
The cost for the excursion will be $160 per student. Inclusio ns for the camp include one night's accommodation\, all activities on both days and some meals (dinner\, breakfast and lunch).
Total payment o r progress payments can be made through the School Bytes parent portal. Th e final payment is payable by Friday 22nd August\, 2025.

Your child has been selected to attend the Stage 3 Enrichment Day at Longneck Lagoon Environmental Education Cent re (54 Whitmore Road\, Maraylya) on Tuesday\, 24th June 2025\, from 9:15am &ndash\; 2.30pm.
The day will involve students undertaking the ' \;Treasure Trackers'\; program\, utilising a range of literacy\, numera cy\, problem solving and teamwork startegies to develop skills in the use of a topographic map\, compass and Global Positioning System (GPS).
School uniform is not necessary. Comfortable walking shoes are suggested. No cost is involved\, but you will need to transport your child to and fro m the centre\, arriving by 9:15am. A map is included to assist with findin g the venue.
Students should bring their own lunch and recess. Pleas e note the completed medical form and permission to publish form must be h anded to Longneck Lagoon staff on the day.

Your child has been working very hard\, practising the songs for the Hawkesbury Performing Arts Festival to be held later this year.
We will be having a combined Choir practice at Windsor High School on Tuesday 17th June. Transport will be by car with Mrs Concha and Mrs Keys as the drivers.
We will need to leave school by 11:45am and will be returning to school around 2:15pm. The children will be running through al l four songs that they will be performing on the night of the Performing A rts Festival. Students do not need to have the songs memorised for this re hearsal and can bring the words with them printed out.

Choir students have been busy practicing and preparing for t he upcoming Hawkesbury Performing Arts Festival next week. There will be a short rehearsal on the day\, so students are familiar with their performa nce positions and where they will meet Mrs Keys on the night.
The co mbined choir is scheduled to have their practice first up on the day: 9.30 -10.00am.
There will be an additional note coming shortly regarding the details for the night performance.

We have now opened up the swim scheme for Yr 1- with 9 positions left only
Learning to swim and water safety ar e integral skills for children such as ours who have access to family pool s and who live near large waterways. With this in mind\, our school will b e taking part in a Swimming Scheme for all children in Years 2 to 6 in Wee k 4 of Term 4 at Richmond Pool. We will travel daily by bus with Mrs Keys and additional supervising teachers.
The cost for a one w eek scheme would normally be around $78 \;per child. To reduce this cost\, our school was able to secure a small grant\, assist ing all families to reduce the cost of the bus. This will be a one-week ac celerated swimming scheme\, where the children attend two sessions per day \, still covering the same skills as the two-week program. Our sessions wi ll be held from 11.00am to 12:30pm each day. There will still be an entry fee to the pool\, which will bring the total cost of the \;swi mming scheme to $36 \;that families will need to pay.

The bus will leave at 10.30am\, with an expected return to schoo l around 1.20pm.
We would like to see most children in Ye ars 2\, 3 \, 4\, 5 and 6 take up the opportunity as there will be minimal supervision at school during this time. We anticipate that most children w ill be involved in the intensive learn to swim program\, developing water confidence and providing our children with basic skills in water safety an d survival. Due to the bus size\, places are limited to 48 student s.

The Windsor &\; District RSL Sub Branch has extended an i nvitation to two of our school leaders and myself to attend their Remembra nce Day Commemoration. This will be held at Windsor McQuade Park Cenotaph (Adjacent to the Lake) on Tuesday 11th November 2025 commencing at 10:55am. I will drive them there and back\, we will leave school at 10 .15am and return before lunch time.

As part of this year’s end of school festivities\ , we have again asked Ty from “Ty’s Fit Friends” to hold a water fun day at our school on Tuesday 9th December. Our children have e njoyed the fitness sessions that Ty has held this year and I’m sure they will all enjoy this one as well.
The Water Fun Day will be held over two sessions with Wombats &\; Wallabies participating in a range of fun ac tivities in the first session and Lorikeets and Kingfishers in the second session.

It’s that time of year! Your child has come to the end of their primary school years and to celebrate this they are off to Luna Park for a day of adventure. This celebration is our Year 6 farewell fun day.< /p>
This activity will be a completely free activity for students as the y have fundraised enough money to cover costs throughout the year.

We are pleased to advise that the 2026 Ebenezer Public Schoo l Swimming Carnival is fast approaching.
As this carnival will be he ld shortly after the new school year commences\, we are getting the organi sation completed before the end of Term 4 2025.
We are trialling a d ay carnival for 2026 and will combine our carnival with Windsor Public Sch ool for the day. This provides more competition for participants and enabl es adequate supervision for the day'\;s activities. The results for eac h school will be recorded separately.
The Swimming Carnival is open to any student turning 8 years old next year (2026) and older. All age eli gible students in Year 2 and all students in Year 3-6 are expected to atte nd the carnival for the day.
SPECTATORS - Parents are welcome to attend as spectators and will need to pay the pool entry fee on arriva l. Please note that children/toddlers accompany parents remain under paren t supervision throughout the day. There will be no access to the two large r pools\, however younger children can enjoy the splash pad with adult sup ervision.
Kindergarten\, Year 1 and \;7 year old students in Year 2 will remain at school for a normal school day. Due to safety c onsiderations\, we are maximising the amount of staff possible at the pool for additional supervision\, so there will be minimal supervision availab le for other students at school.
NON SWIMMERS - Once the 50m freestyle races have concluded\, non competitive swimming students will be involved in structured games on the grass areas. There will also be some structured and supervised non swimmer activities/games in the pool for eac h age group throughout the day. Please note that parental permission is re quired (Is your child permitted to swim? question below) if you wish your child to be involved in the supervised water games. \;

The aim of the camp is to develop leadership skills and teamwork in our elected young leaders. Children participating in the camp will be invo lved in the following leadership development activities:

DoE staff attending the camp have volunteered to p articipate in these activities\, as they see it as important that we devel op the leadership skills in our students.
Our Meet the Teacher afternoon will be held on Wedne sday 18th \;February\, 2026. This will give you an opportunity to meet your child&rsquo\;s teacher and learn about what is h appening in their classroom. To celebrate the start of a new school year a nd to welcome both new and existing families\, we will also be holding a f amily welcome BBQ at this time.
We are trying a different approach t his year\, with families able to drop in and visit the classrooms for a sh ort period and then all teachers will have an &lsquo\;information booth/ta ble&rsquo\; set up under the main shelter to chat with you about the year ahead. During this time we will also be hosting a free BBQ for all attende es and a coffee cart for the grown ups as an informal get together to mark the start of a new school year.

This year all Stage 3 students are invited to attend a one-d ay conference at Rosehill Gardens to support them in discovering their lea dership potential. Throughout the day\, students will participate in purpo seful activities developing their problem-solving skills\, and increasing confidence and independence. \;
The GRIP Student Leadership Conf erence is unique in that it concentrates specifically on training student leaders for their role as SCHOOL LEADERS. The style\, topics\, and content of this conference all focus on what the students can do RIGHT NOW.
Our goal is that our student leaders would leave the conference with a cl ear vision\, a solid understanding and dozens of ideas for their time as a leader.
Your child has been working very hard\, practising the songs for the Hawkesbury Performing Arts Festival to be held later this year.
We will be having a combined choir practice at Windsor High School on Tuesday 24th March. Transport will be by car with Mrs Dziubinski or Mrs C oncha and Mrs Keys as the drivers.
We will need to leave school by 9 :00am and will be returning to school around 12:00pm. The children will be running through all four songs that they will be performing on the night of the Performing Arts Festival. Students do not need to have the songs me morised for this rehearsal and can bring the words with them printed out.< /p>

Our previous experiences at The Great Aussie Bush Camp have shown it to be a really worthwhile exp erience for our Stage 3 children. Years 3-6 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are invited to attend Allowah Day along with Aboriginal students throughout t he Hawkesbury (Primary School Event). It will be at Shaws Creek Aboriginal Place\, Yellomundee Regional Park\, and includes various cultural activit ies. Morning tea and lunch will be provided\, and there will be no cost to families.
We will be sharing a bus with Glossodia\, Freemans Reach\ , Wilberforce and Richmond primary schools on the day. All students will m eet at Freemans Reach PS at 8.30am and will be dropped off there around 3. 00pm (no cost to families).
The Life Education Van will be visiting our school\, during Week 10 of Term 2. The Life Education program is closely linked to the Per sonal Development and Health units in our PDHPE syllabus and is therefore a useful and worthwhile experience for the students.
The cost of the program is $12 per child \; \;
It will run over 2 consecut ive days – Monday 22nd June and Tuesday 23rd June with each class partic ipating in one educational session. A workbook is included in the cost.
As part of our NAIDOC Week activities\, we are pleased to pr ovide students with a whole school excursion to Brewongle Environmental Ed ucation Centre to engage in the Cultural Awareness Program. Students will learn about the importance of Country and Place to the Dharug nation\, in addition to Aboriginal tools\, food\, culture\, art and music.
This excursion will be a valuable educational experience and is part of our loc al heritage and connection to the Dharug people who have occupied the West ern Sydney region for 22\,000 years. Students will engage in various activ ities throughout the day as planned by the highly experienced teaching sta ff of Brewongle EEC.
As learning about the cultural aspects of Abori ginal and Torres Strait Islander People is an integral part to our student s learning\, the cost of the buses for this excursion has been subsidised by the school.
Your child has been selected by their school to participate in the Hawkesbury PSSA Zone Cross Country.
IMPORTANT INFORMA TION:-Any Parent that has not already filled out Dash must complete the on line permission form through the Dash Platform to consent for this trial. Information on how to create a Dash account and register can be found on t he attached sheet. The online permission form is due by Friday 8th May 202 6.

Your child has been invited to attend the Primary Sc hool Days program at the Sydney Writers'\; Festival for an engaging and educational journey into the world of literature. The Primary School Days program is designed to inspire the next generation of readers and storyte llers.
The hugely popular sessions bring renowned children& rsquo\;s authors and illustrators to primary students for a fun\, interact ive and educational day that deepens their love of reading and writing. Th e day is broken up into sessions and students will hear from all the write rs and illustrators featured in the day&rsquo\;s program. \;
Stu dents will need to meet teachers at the Windsor train station at 7:45am an d picked up from Windsor train station at 3:25pm.
Depart: WINDSOR TR AIN STATION - 8:01am train to Town Hall. There will be a 5 minute walk to the Sydney Town Hall.
Return: Event closes at 2:00pm. We aim to catc h the 2:10pm train and will arrive at Windsor Train Station at 3:25pm.
***Each student must have a Child/Youth OPAL CARD with a minimum of $20.00 credit to pay for their train fares. Nil cost fo r the program\, as this is covered by the school.

We are excited to announce that the Ebenezer Public School At hletics Carnival will take place on Wednesday\, 17th June at McMahons Park \, Kurrajong. Throughout the day\, students will participate in a range of rotating athletic events. Parents are warmly invited to attend and suppor t the students\; however\, all children are required to travel to the venu e by bus.
Travelling together by bus allows us to:
Buses will depart from school at 8:30am and return by 3:00pm. Please ensure y our child arrives at school no later than 8:15am.
The cost for the carnival is $20 per student\, which covers both bus tr ansportation and field hire. If you are attending the carnival\, your chil d is welcome to leave with you after the event.

Your child has been selected to attend the Stage 3 Enrichment Day at Longneck Lagoon Environmental Education Cent re (54 Whitmore Road\, Maraylya) on Monday\, 1st June 2026\, from 9:15am – 2.30pm.
The day will involve students undertaking the 'Treasure Trackers' program\, utilising a range of literacy\, numeracy\, problem sol ving and teamwork startegies to develop skills in the use of a topographic map\, compass and Global Positioning System (GPS).
School uniform i s not necessary. Comfortable walking shoes are suggested. No cost is invol ved\, but you will need to transport your child to and from the centre\, a rriving by 9:15am. A map is included to assist with finding the venue.
Students should bring their own lunch and recess. Please note the compl eted medical form and permission to publish form must be handed to Longnec k Lagoon staff on the day.
