eat Aussie Bush Camp (GABC) in Term 4\, Week 4. \n\nGABC is a sport and re
creation\, outdoor adventure style experience for students\, located in Te

student safety and wellbeing adhering to the highest standards. The cost
includes bus transport to and from camp\, all meals\, accommodation and ac
tivities. The camp will cater for any students with special dietary needs.
\n \nStudents will be accompanied and supervised during the camp by Mr Ja
cobs and Miss Barnett.\n \nAt a later stage a medical note will be sent ho

.\n\nThe cost of the bus has been heavily subsidised by the fundraising ef

opportunity for our students to rehearse and perform in the iconic Opera H

lists\, coming together as part of a massed choir comprising approximately

be on the phone as the lines open as they sell out on the day!! There are
four concerts across the week so please make sure you are only buying for
the concert we are performing in which is the ARGYLE \nCONCERT.\n\nTicket

The Department of Education
School Swimming and Water Safety Program is an intensive learn to swim pro
gram\, which develops water confidence and provides students with basic sk
ills in water safety and survival. The program is conducted over 10 days.
Each daily lesson is 45 minutes.
Students who have not re
ached a satisfactory standard of water safety and survival skills\, and ar
e unable to swim 25m confidently unaided with correct technique in deep wa
ter\, are eligible to participate in the School Swimming and Water Safety
Program.
The Program will continue daily for two weeks fr
om Monday 11th November to Friday 22nd November\, 2024.
We will leav

On Tuesday 18th November\, the Birpai Buddies will participa
te in a Cultural Immersion Day at Lake Cathie Foreshore Reserve. This is a
n indigenous program that gives our Birpai Buddies the opportunity to expe
rience first hand cultural living and lifestyle. Along with Aboriginal stu
dents from Comboyne\, Long Flat\, Rollands Plains and Huntingdon\, as well
as our Aboriginal student mentors from Wauchope High school\, our Birpai
Buddies will learn about the traditional foods that were eaten along the c
oast\, the traditional hunting and gathering methods with a focus on fishi
ng and lots more.
Students will need to be at school by 8:30am and t
he bus will be leaving at 8:50am to make the most of the experience. Stude
nts will return to Beechwood PS at approx. 3:10pm.
The cost of this
excursion is free (fully subsidised by Beechwood PS).
Students must
wear appropriate clothing including enclosed shoes. They will be wading in
shallow water so board shorts and a towel are recommended. They will also
need a packed recess and lunch\, bottle of water and a hat.
Student
's will be fishing and if they are lucky enough to catch a fish we need yo
ur consent for them to bring it home as well as a small esky/freezer bag t
o store it in. \;
Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend\,
we ask that you meet us at Lake Cathie Foreshore Reserve at 10am. \;<

DESCRIPTION:Dear Parents/Carers\,\n\n\nThe Beechwood PS Cross Country will
be held on Friday 24th April (Week 1\, Term 2). As in previous years\, the
carnival will be held within the school grounds. Please note\, only stude
nts who are 8 years and older\, or those who turn 8 in 2026\, can progress
to the next level if successful (LNC Cross Country will be held on Monday
4th May\, 2026).\n\n\nThis is the same day as our school ANZAC service. A
fter the ANZAC service\, students will have an early recess\, 11:15-11:45.
\n\nStudents who are 5 to 7 years old will start their Cross Country at 1
2.00pm. All students will walk 1 lap of the course as a warm up\, led by Y
ear 6 students. Races will then commence\, starting with the 5 year olds\,
then moving through 6 and 7 year olds.\n\n\nThese races will be followed
by an early lunch for all students.\n\nStudents 8 to 13 years old will sta
rt their Cross Country at approximately 1:15pm. All students will walk 1 l
ap of the course as a warm up. Races will begin at 1.30pm\, starting with
12-13 year olds. This will be followed by the 11\, 10\, 9 and 8 year old r
aces. Non-competitive participants are encouraged to walk the track with t
